Abstract: |
The evaluation investigated a linear earthwork which formed part of the Beversbrook deserted medieval village, Scheduled Ancient Monument 906. The earthwork was interpreted as a hollow way. Romano-British pottery was recovered from the lower fill of the hollow way and the upper fills produced pottery of the same date in association with medieval sherds. The discovery of Romano-British features in the vicinity of the medieval village was significant and suggested continuity of use of the site. [Au] |
