Abstract:
Geophysical survey, topographic survey, excavation, documentary research, fieldwalking and metal detecting were employed to evaluate a large site prior to a new railway terminal. New information was revealed for known sites within the area and new sites were also located. Roman activity was found, associated with Watling Street which cuts the development site. Previously unknown Iron Age settlement was also revealed.[AIP]
