Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during the construction of a new extension at the rear of Plat Cottage, Back Lane, Winchelsea. A possible medieval wall footing was encountered on the east side of the building and an assemblage of pottery dating from the 14th century through to the 19th century was recovered. No other archaeological features were encountered. [Au(adp)]
