Abstract: |
Archaeological investigations were undertaken during groundworks associated with the construction of new houses. Previous development to the east had uncovered the foundations of a medieval house. The area of current development had no structural housing remains. In all, eight features were observed: three chalk or rubble spreads, two pits, one undateable and the other of probable modern origin, a tree hole and part of a slighted wall of probable 17th century date, with only partial footings remaining.
