Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposed extension to Bowland Lodge. Two trenches in the garden area to the north of the Lodge revealed linear features probably associated with medieval or post-medieval agricultural activity. Landscaping deposits and features associated with the construction of the houses and gardens on the site at the end of the 19th century were also encountered in both trenches. [Au(adp)] |
