Abstract:
Three trenches were excavated over the site. Two of the three trenches did not revealed archaeological features, although a very small quantity of residual prehistoric, Roman and post-medieval/modern material was recovered from the soils. Within trench 2, these deposits contained a small quantity of Early Bronze Age to Roman pottery. Within the third trench, in the south-east corner of the site, three north-south aligned linear features were observed. These three ditches appeared to be of similar date; their fills were comparable and their orientation was identical. [Au(abr)]
