Abstract: |
Full excavation as a condition of planning permission being granted for the conversion of a former school building and a new development. A previous evaluation in 2010 by AC Archaeology showed evidence of prehistoric activity including a section of a curving ditch approximately 1.8m wide and up to 0.90m deep, comprising three distinct fills. A small number of finds including pottery and worked flint suggest this is Bronze Age and might relate to the remains of a burial mound (round barrow). |
