Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 12.4 hectares of grassland. Evidence of ridge and furrow cultivation along with probable former field boundaries indicate an agricultural past. Positive and negative linear anomalies may be of archaeological or natural origin. Possible former backfilled pits may also be archaeological or natural in origin. The remaining features are natural or modern in origin and include a land drain, disturbance from nearby ferrous metal objects, and magnetic spikes that are likely to be modern rubbish. |
