Abstract: |
A retrospective Level 2 Historic Building Survey and trial trench evaluation exercise was undertaken by the University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) at Butchers Yard, 2 High Street, Earls Barton, Northamptonshire. The building survey examined the remaining evidence which survives from a recently demolished range of buildings dating to the 18th and 19th centuries. Three evaluation trenches were also excavated across the site targeting the locations of proposed new housing. No archaeological features or deposits were observed during the trial trenching. |
