Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was carried out during ground works for the installation of new drainage pipes around the perimeter of St. Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey A number of phases of archaeological activity were recorded. Generally, these related to the construction of the church and its various extensions from the 15th century to the modern day. Evidence for the churchyard was also seen in the form of a single 17th century burial. With few exceptions the finds recovered during the watching brief were of post-medieval date with only a few residual medieval finds.
