Abstract:
Archaeological watching brief and building recording during demolitions of the farmstead, prior to the construction of an artist's colony. Though the majority of the structures which make up the Glenside farmstead date from the late 19th to 20th centuries, the building recording and watching brief exercises uncovered evidence for the survival of building fabric that pre-dates the improvement farmstead. Structures depicted on Roy's Military Survey of 1752-55 survived, though altered, within the fabric of two of the buildings of the farm
