Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was conducted by AOC Archaeology Group on site investigation works undertaken in relation to an extension and general landscaping surrounding the existing David Livingston Centre, Blantyre, South Lanarkshire. The machine excavated site investigation pits, located in the landscaped grounds to the W of the main centre suggested that the area had been previously stripped with topsoil overlying made ground. The hand excavated pits next to the centre foundations only exposed the foundations sitting within shallow cuts in the natural gravel. No significant archaeological features or artefacts were revealed.
