Abstract:		 The Centre for Applied Archaeology (CfAA) was commissioned by HOW Planning (on behalf of Stobart Group) to undertake an archaeological evaluation at land located off Dukes Drive, Kingstown, Carlisle (centred on NY 38360 59741). The programme of archaeological work consisted of eleven evaluation trenches, targeting geophysical anomalies identified during a previous survey (Watson 2013). This was carried out in order to determine the presence, extent, depth, state of preservation and significance of the archaeological resource to enable informed recommendations and future mitigation for any surviving archaeological remains.
