Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out by Wessex Archaeology as a condition of planning consent for the development of the site, land immediately to the north of St John's Church currently disused, as a new music block with landscaping. Previous geotechnical investigations had shown up to 2 metres of modern made ground overlying Kempton Park Gravels. The single evaluation trench supported the results of the geotechnical work, natural gravels being encountered at approximately 1.47m below ground surface. No archaeological features or deposits were seen and no finds were recovered. |
