Abstract: |
A series of test pits were excavated once the existing buildings had been demolished. The site area measured approximately 36m by 28m, although the development was largely built up due to the threat posed by flooding. A humic alluvial deposit (104) was located a depth of 2.3m below current ground level. This probably represents the remains of an ancient channel. |
