Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the removal of existing foundations and services associated with the recently demolished Iveson House, the relocation of a tree and all groundworks relating to the construction of a new nursing home at the site. A buried soil thought to represent the original woodland ground surface was identified, but had been truncated heavily by the construction of Iveson House. A number of services were encountered which related to the recently demolished house, including modern drainage and two stone-built culverts. |
