Abstract: |
Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Laing O Rourke to undertake an archaeological watching brief to mitigate the potential loss of archaeological remains during the renewal of a water mains at Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The Scheme comprises 2km of mains renewal through the town centre. The insertion of the pipeline was carried out under permitted development rights and involved the excavation of an open cut trench within the current highway. The Scheme extends for approximately 2km (NGR 473315 288511 to 472791 287048) through existing highways within Market Harborough |
