Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological strip, map and sample excavation was undertaken in July 2013 by University of Leicester Archaeological Services on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. R. Poulson. The fieldwork was undertaken in response to a planning application for the construction of a new barn at Newhouse Grange, Orton Lane, Sheepy Magna, Leicestershire, in order to assess the potential impact of the development on any archaeological remains as may have been present. The archaeological evaluation at Farley Way, Newhouse Grange, Orton Lane, Sheepy Magna, produced no evidence of archaeological activity, either in artefactual or structural terms, reflecting the location of the site beyond the probable limits of the medieval monastic grange.
