Abstract: |
Multi-season research and training excavation. The project is aimed at applying modern excavation techniques to a Roman settlement site in Lincolnshire, with a date range from the 1st to 3rd centuries. This season's excavation produced evidence for a fence alignment, postholes, and demolition debris from a stone-built structure(s). Evidence of the status of the settlement was obtained in the form of numbers of tesserae and fragments of painted wall plaster. |
