Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was conducted by GUARD Archaeology Ltd. at the 13th and 15th greens of the Douglas Park Golf Club. Both greens are within the boundaries of scheduling for the Antonine Wall (SAM 7342- Antonine Wall, New Kilpatrick Cemetery to field boundary S of Boclair) and partially overlie the line of the Wall itself. Drainage works were carried out in accordance with the conditions of the Ancient Monuments (Class Consents) (Scotland) Order 1996 (Class I(c)). Work was carried out between 3rd October and 15th November 2011. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered during the work. |
