Abstract: |
A geophysical (magnetometer) survey, covering 17.5 hectares, was carried out on land south of the River Bow, North Pershore, as part of an initial assessment for the proposed development of the site. The survey has identified anomalies indicative of ridge and furrow cultivation throughout the site, probably originating in the medieval and/or post medieval periods. A former field boundary and field drains have also been identified. On the basis of the geophysical survey, the site is assessed as having a low archaeological potential. |
