Abstract: |
The site lies c. 0.5km north-west of the site of the Roman fort on the River Tees at Piercebridge. The investigation was undertaken in association with the upgrade of an electricity supply to the north-west of Piercebridge, a scheme which in one section required the installation of underground cabling within a trench excavated along and adjacent to Cock Lane. No archaeological remains of note were recorded. |
