Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation recorded the presence of an area of low lying boggy ground. Dumping of clay in the Late medieval/early post medieval periods may represent an episode of land reclamation. A ditch dating to the early post-medieval period may represent an attempt to drain the land. Infill of soils in the early post medieval period raised the ground surface. |
