Abstract: |
An aggregates and archaeology resource assessment for Derbyshire and the Peak District funded by the Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund distributed by English Heritage on behalf of Defra. The assessment applies the 'landform element' approach, partitioning the study area into discrete geomorphological landforms with specific archaeological and palaeoenvironmental associations. Guidance coming from the assessment provides a predictive model and framework for planning decisions in regard of aggregates and mineral extraction. |
