Abstract:		 A rapid archaeological survey was undertaken of the route of a proposed track on Barden Fell, on the eastern side of the Bolton Abbey Estate, Yorkshire Dales. No previously recorded archaeological sites were identified on the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority HER, the English Heritage NMR, or on historical Ordnance Survey maps. A walkover survey was carried out of the route and identified a number of earthen mounds that appear to be the result of post-medieval and modern drainage activity. A small area of former peat extraction was also identified, as well as two former boundary stones.
