Abstract: |
Prior to its conversion for residential use, a standing building survey was undertaken on the steading at Meikle Ardo. Built in the 1st half of the 19th century, this comprised buildings around four sides of an open court. Few internal fitting remained although vertical timbers to hold trevises of horse stalls and a small bothy survived in the E range. A blocking in the outer wall of the W range coincides with the position of a horse mill shown on the 1869 OS map and probably relates to the mill fittings. |
