Abstract: |
This geomagnetic survey, covering 12.5 ha, was carried out using a Bartington Grad601-2 dual fluxgate gradiometer. A sig-zag traverse was employed with a sample interval of 0.25m and a traverse interval of 1m. The survey recorded a number of anomalies consistent with archaeological features. These were focussed on a known early Bronze Age settlement site (Tees HER 4027). The survey also noted a number of ploughing trends and ploughed out field boundaries. A rectangular structre was noted to the north of Little Maltby Farm (Tees HER 8352). |
