Abstract: |
Monitoring of topsoil stripping on a westward extension to the New Best Red Quarry at Kirton Brickworks, Nottinghamshire, was undertaken by Network Archaeology Ltd in May 2014. This watching brief forms the latest of a series of archaeological works undertaken since 2004. No cut features were noted, apart from land drains and recent plough scores. The watching brief confirmed the observation from the previous work in 2013 that the ridge and furrow visible in the area to the north of Golden Hill Lane did not extend south of the lane. |
