Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in January 2014 at Land to the Rear of Holy Cross Almshouses, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. A total of five trenches were excavated. The evaluation identified pits and a well of medieval date likely to be associated with medieval occupation of the Horsefair. Additionally, surfaces and a wall footing of a possible medieval date and other structural features dating from the 17th century or later through to the modern period were identified. |
