The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Archaeological monitoring carried out on enabling groundworks (haul roads, compounds and contractors car parks) in advance of the construction of a new rail station on the Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria line, at Southend Airport. Although the groundworks to the west of the railway line were not conducive to observation of below-ground remains, a number of small prehistoric pits and a scatter of unstratified prehistoric pottery burnt flint and a few worked flints were identified and recorded to the east. These supplement previous discoveries of prehistoric remains in this vicinity.
