Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out in May and early June 2012 ahead of the redevelopment of Crest Girls and Boys Academies in Neasden, London Borough of Brent. Three trenches were excavated as part of the Phase 1 work and an additional 4 trenches will be excavated during the Phase 2 work. The northern portion of the site had been truncated by terracing of the hillside on which the site was situated while the southern portion remained largely undisturbed. Three late post-medieval or early modern features, likely planting rows associated with the allotments formerly occupying the site. Natural gravel (Dollis Hill Gravel) and the underlying London Clay were also observed. |
