Abstract:
Various walls, pits and layers were all cetainly or probably of post-medieval and modern dates. It is poosible the earliest deposit in the seqence was as early as late 16th century, but evidence for this is slight and most of the features recorded are unlikely to be earlier than mid/late 18th century. Residual Roman and medieval pottery was also present. The remains included a brick structure thought to be the base of a mash tun or distillery, and a wood-lined well.
