Abstract:		 An archaeological monitoring was carried out on land at The Uplands Hotel, Victoria Road, Aldeburgh, in order to investigate the archaeological potential of the site. Pottery of late medieval and post-medieval date was recovered from the upcast spoil, along with a lump of ceramic building material which is characteristic of medieval daub.
