Abstract: |
A watching brief was kept on 20 January 2015 during the installation of a transformer pole and 130m of underground cable to a new industrial unit near Castleton, Lochgilphead. The excavations were located close to the remains of the pre-Improvement settlement of Tomdow (NR88NE 40) and the prehistoric fort of Dun Dubh (NR88NE 8) although nothing of archaeological significance was encountered in the trenches. |
