Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out by AC Archaeology during groundworks associated with the construction of a stable and associated trackway on land at Cutwellcombe, Avonwick, South Brent, Devon (SX 69127 58349). The site was two-hundred metres to the south of, and positioned on, the same topographic ridge as a hilltop enclosure at Yellowberries Copse, also known as Turtley Hill Fort, which is a Scheduled Monument (Heritage England List for England ref. 1019325). No archaeological features or deposits were exposed and no finds were recovered. |
