Abstract: |
In August 2005 Archaeological Solutions Ltd carried out an archaeological trial trench evaluation of land at Hundred Acre Farm, Red Lodge, Suffolk (Southern Sector). The investigation was undertaken in advance of the proposed residential redevelopment of the site, and represents Phase III of a larger area of development. The evaluation trenches revealed no archaeological features. Sparse struck flint was recovered from the topsoil. Four struck flint were recovered from the topsoil at the southern end of the site i.e. towards the location of the ploughed out Bronze Age barrow (SMR FRK.008). The flint is heavily patinated, abraded and fragmented. One is retouched, comprising a small end scraper. |
