Abstract:		 Between June and November 2010, OA East carried out an archaeological watching brief at 6 - 8a Sun Street, Waltham Abbey (TL 3825 0050). The monitoring was carried out during the excavation of a test pit dug in order to assess the underlying ground conditions and also during the excavation of ground beam slots and service trenches across the development area. The watching brief revealed that modern disturbance associated with the previous construction had severely truncated the development area. No archaeological finds or features were recorded during the monitoring visits.
