Abstract:		 Allen Archaeology Limited was commissioned by Bybrook Builders Limited to undertake an archaeological evaluation to support a planning application for a proposed residential development on land off Gatehouse Lane, Great Easton, Leicestershire. The site is located in an area of archaeological interest and potential. Four trenches were excavated within the proposed development area in order to provide information upon the nature of any archaeological resources found within the development area. A possible pond of unknown date was identified in Trenches 3 and 4, no archaeological remains were found in the other trenches.
