Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was conducted for Anglian Water Services Limited during groundworks associated with the construction of a new Rising Main off Church Road, Hauxton. Several ditches and quarry pits were found, but the lack of associated artefacts suggests that these were not related to any adjacent settlement. The ditches were thought to be agricultural boundary features, while the quarry pits may be associated with surfacing Church Road. |
