Abstract: |
Archaeological evaluation undertaken prior to proposed development. The work was commissioned by Richard Hall Architecture Design as part of a programme of archaeological works. Evaluation consisted of three trenches totalling 17 linear metres. These revealed a substantial sandstone wall and abutting floor level. These features may be associated with the now demolished 16th century Barnton House or represent an earlier phase of construction. |
