Abstract: |
Two trial trenches were excavated to inform the proposed construction of a new toilet block, and to investigate the reasons for subsidence at St Peter and St Paul's Church, Algarkirk. The probable original medieval foundations for the south isle wall were revealed, along with the slight foundations for the 19th century rebuild, and a pit and grave of probable medieval date. No artefacts were recovered, but redeposited fragments of human bone were identified. |
