Abstract: |
A photographic survey was undertaken of barns to the west of Lower End House at Manor Farm, Eckington, Worcestershire (NGR SO 91783 41419; HER ref. WSM 40537) as required by a condition of planning application. The barns are now derelict but were originally part of Lower End Farm. Lower End House is a grade II listed building dated to the 16th or 17th century. The barns consist of four structures all joined to each other. Barn 1 is a large, brick, threshing barn. Barn 2 is a stable. Barn 3 appears to have been last used as a byre and is part timber framed. Barn 4 is now used as roofed storage but was originally an open space to the east of barn 2. |
