Abstract: |
Two evaluation trenches were excavated after the demolition of Hurst Grange. The trenches only produced evidence for the demolition of the former building and the footings of a small out-building or shed at the southern end of Trench B. Some modern pottery and three pieces of humanly struck flint were recovered, all from the topsoil, and are thought to be residual. No archaeological features were noted in the trenches. |
