Abstract: |
An historic building photographic survey was undertaken at the Clubhouse Stand, Leicester Tigers, Welford Road, Leicester on the 16th of February 2015.The survey studied the former pavilion and changing rooms which are now part of a larger complex of function rooms, offices and a club shop. The core of the building was built by the Leicester Football Club in 1909 and has remained an integral part of the evolving stadium since that time. The earliest part of the brick-built building has been stripped of most of its original fixtures and fittings as the requirements of the Club have changed. Planning permission has been granted to demolish the building in advance of a phased redevelopment of the grounds. |
