Abstract:		 An archaeological Watching Brief was carried out on a programme of ground reduction and foundation trenching at Martins Close and Old Orchard, Compton. During the course of the Watching Brief an undisturbed sequence of soil horizons was identified across the full area of the site, overlying natural chalk. No finds or features of archaeological significance were observed.
