The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An Archaeological Desk-based Assessment was undertaken of Sprotbrough Weir, located south of the village of Sprotbrough in advance of proposals by the Environment Agency to establish a fish-pass at the southern end of the weir. The weir was in operation by the early 18th century with a walk mill also recorded at the southern end of the weir. The walk mill was used for processing cloth until the late 18th century and was subsequently used for grinding flint for use in pottery manufacture. The mill went out of use in the late 19th century and the building demolished in the early 20th century.
