Abstract:		 A tree-ring dating investigation of a single bog oak recovered from a field drain at West Deeping, Lincolnshire, produced a measured ring sequence of 364 years. To test a possible cross-match for this sequence, and thus potentially enhance tree-ring data coverage for the prehistoric period, eight radiocarbon samples were dated. A wiggle-match of the radiocarbon results shows that the tree died towards the end of the second century cal BC. The tree-ring match indicates the sequence runs from 489 BC-126 BC.
