Abstract:		 Northamptonshire Archaeology carried out an archaeological trial trench evaluation comprising two trenches on land at Duns Lane, Leicester. The evaluation revealed a significant depth of made ground probably associated with the development of the site during the second half of the 19th century. A wall, likely to be a boundary wall associated with the Providence Foundry which once occupied the northern part of the development area, was also encountered.
