Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 7.7 hectares of mixed-use agricultural land. A number of archaeological features have been identified. These relate to a ring ditch and enclosures, as well as extensive features connected with the Second World War airfield. A small number of possible archaeological cut features are also present. Other features identified are likely modern in origin. These consist of ploughing, magnetic disturbance related to metallic fences and field boundaries and isolated magnetic spikes. |
