Abstract:		 THE SITE IS LOCATED AT THE REAR OF 63 CHURCH ROAD, MALDON, ESSEX AND IS ACCESSED VIA BRIGHTS PATH. IT IS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE HIGHT STREET AND ST PETERS CHURCH. THE DEVELOPMENT COMPRISES OF A NEW TWO STOREY BUILDING TO BE BUILT ON THE SITE OF AN EXISTING 20TH CENTURY BUILDING. A DESK BASED ASSESSMENT WAS CARRIED OUT PRIOR TO FIELDWORK, FOLLOWED BY A WATCHING BRIEF WHICH RECORDED NO EVIDENCE OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL DEPOSITS OR FEATURES.
